dc.description.abstract | The goal of this report is to present to possibility of modernization of AIC-144 cyclotron's safety systems. The actual status is described and possible solution offered. The core of the new safety system is Siemens Simatic S7-200 PLC which delivers satisfactory quantity of I/Os and also allows further development by ie. implementing Ethernet communication and control over the remote program.
