Metodyka otrzymywania, wydzielania i kontroli jakości izotopów promieniotwórczych wytwarzanych w cyklotronach w IFJ PAN

Abstract

The presented report summarizes the long-term experience of a group of radiochemists from the Institute of Nuclear Physics, who have been involved in production, separation and quality control of radioactive nuclides arising in reactions of stable nuclei with charged particles accelerated in a cyclotron. The first part of the report says about possible applications of radionuclides, shows ways of target preparation, outlines methods of separation of radioactive products, gives the criteria for quality control, and describes briefly measurement methods. The second part contains monographs of the main radionuclides with which the group was dealing. An extra chapter is devoted to the assessment of internal doses delivered by the nuclides of interest, if administered to the patient’s organism.
